What are the best ways to run a business. What does a CFO of a big organization think like. What makes business grow and survive in recession.These questions and their answers are vital for the survival for business in hard times. Well we can do the following to make business simpler and easy to run. I have felt these things are followed by big organizations and all the small organizations that are able to make an impact.

• Do the basic – this is the first thing to follow. If there is lack of cash flow in the company then just do the basics. The basics will be to generate cash, get new clients, optimize the business, cut down costs increase profitability.
• Take decisions – take decisions to make things happen, plan a strategy and do it. If it is not working change the approach and again do it. make it happen is most important to grow in business and life.
• Portfolio – Have a strong and unique portfolio of services and products. Learn from the competition and change your self from them. Give something that competition is not offering and you can win extra clients.
• Be good – with your clients and employees. It pays to be nice in the long run.
• Market market market – Use as many channels possible to market your products and services. There is no harm in selling.

- Whom ever you are taking in the team, make sure they bring value to the table. It’s great to work with smart people. Yeah we can also hire average people if and only if they have attitude to excel and prove them selves.

• Be on time/ Manage time – avoid getting delayed in work and strategy. A good strategy applied at the wrong time can devastate your company.
• Enjoy and have fun – celebrate small small wins and maintain the momentum in the team. It is not required to hand over a Mercedes car to the best performer and sales guy. Few tickets and 1 keg of beer is good to start on celebrating.
• Focus on the core stuff – be in the business that you can do well and have the strengths and cutting edge. This we learned from our own mistakes. In the earlier days we tried to do a lot of stuff, but now we only focus on Design. Usability etc.
• Intend – Have a big picture what you are all about, what you want to do, what are your goals. At Hyena Labs we never dream to be a large organization, we dream to be small around 300 people across the globe a financially rich, healthy and nice design studio.
